WESTMINSTER SCHOOLS

Nick was inducted into the Westminster Hall of Fame, and his soccer jersey was retired, a special honor, in May 2012. His number, 2, appears on all soccer team jerseys and only the captain of each year’s team wears No. 2.

Annual “Defensive Player of the Year Award” is awarded to the soccer player who best exemplifies a commitment to teamwork, leadership and respect.

A Nick Napolitano Soccer Ball serves as a motivational symbol at the start of every game. And, finally, an Annual Nick Napolitano Memorial Soccer Tournament is held at Westminster.

NORTHSIDE YOUTH ORGANIZATION

In 2012, the 12-year-old all-star team wore Nick’s No. 6 on their team jerseys. Nick wore the No. 6 in 2000 when he played on the All-Star team. The No. 6 jersey was retired in July 2012.

DELTA KAPPA EPSILON

Delta Kappa Epsilon established the “Nick Napolitano Outstanding Chapter President Award,” given to the president of a DKE chapter each year. Its first recipient, awarded at the national convention in July 2012, was Tucker Howard of Duke.
